Travel Problems, fixed w/Paracord

Travel Problems, fixed w/Paracord

Whats up my fellow life hackers?!?  Some of you know me directly, and others..well you are a customer of my fine store.  While I have this lovely store, it is just a side project for myself and a creative outlet that I figured I'd try and see how running a biz goes.  I still have a full time job, in which I am in software sales and it requires me to travel from time to time.

As we all know travel can be a pain in the ass!  The ultimate goal is to get to where you are going, to get a job done, visit friends/family or a nice relaxing vacation.  You have the stress and anticipation of prep'ing to travel, hoping you dont forget something important or critical, to dealing with the random public mixed with people that live in their own bubble, have no spatial awareness or just don't get a F*&% about being considerate to their fellow travelers.  I'm usually good at prep'ing, getting through security like a champ and being considerate to others around me.  Its that minor group of asshats that drive me crazy.

While traveling to Kansas City for my day job, I was only traveling for a single night.  Flying out Monday morning, doing some training and meeting with teammates, more training on Tuesday and then flying home.  So this trip I tried to travel as light as possible.  A backpack with my laptop and change of clothes, and a sling back for my personal tech I couldn't fit in my backpack after packing clothes.  I quickly grew rather tired of carrying 2 backs and no roller bag.  I looked down at my wrist and remembered I had a paracord bracelet on, and took it off, wrapped the 2 bag handles together, and put my backpack on.  The sling rode piggy-back on top of my backpack, held together by my paracord bracelet.

This made hustling between flights to the next flight much easier!  Then while chilling and waiting for the flight to board, I could keep things together and again not have to jockey around 2 bags.  While it was a simple fix, it was a relief and a break from having to put my sling on first, then try and maneuver my backpack on over top, or just carry it on my side.  Simple stress reliever.

Got me thinking...what else can I make to help not only myself travel a bit easier, but others as well.  Walked around during an hour layover in St. Louis, and just people watched to see how others were getting along with the very same struggle I was.  I just happened to be carrying a bunch of sample Utility KeyChains with me to show off to my co-workers.  I did see some people that were really struggling to manage a roller bag and backpack, including a woman with 3 small kids under the age of 5.  She had both a roller duffle bag and a backpack that was clearly over-packed, and she was wearing the pack backwards on her chest, and trying to hold hands with her kids.  I stopped her and asked if I could help, grabbed a keychain from my sling, and placed her backpack on the roller and using the keychain, strapped the handles together, so she can easily maneuver the roller bag and pack as one.  She was blown away and almost cried and offered to pay me, and I said no thanks, just trying to help.

Now I've got my gears turning to see what other problems I can solve with paracord.  I'm drafting up some new ideas and developing some new sample products, specifically geared around traveling, and how can a simple tool like paracord bring even a bit of stress relief to us travelers.  Had to order some new hardware for the new ideas, and hope to get that quickly so I can share some new product ideas that can help all of you in your travels or day to day hustle.

Got ideas, hit me up on my Contact form, and let me know what kinds of things you would like to see in the store, and if it turns out to be a viable product, I may reward you with the first samples for testing and feedback.
